Robin AI: The ABM campaigns we run for a business that raised $61.5M
Robin AI, a leading Legal Intelligence platform, partnered with SalesCaptain to build and run its outbound motion in January 2024.
Until then, the company relied primarily on SEO, word of mouth, and partner referrals for growth.
The outbound campaigns proved ROI quickly, created a repeatable pipeline, and became a key growth lever ahead of Robin AI’s $26M Series B raise until it got acquired by Scissero.
Robin AI had a problem in identifying high-value ICPs. The company was generating revenue but their ICP was fragmented between different departments. Sales had one ICP and marketing had another one. To solve this problem we got access to their CRM and ran our “SalesCaptain GTM Analysis” inspired by Clay. See more in this webinar: How Clay ($100M ARR) Builds Its GTM Engine: Davide Grieco (Clay) & Bill Stathopoulos (SalesCaptain)
We looked at 3 variables

This helped us understand the industries and company sizes that converted to be the best customers based on LTV, as well as the signals that led to those conversions.
We then broke them down into the 3 layers of GTM campaigns we offer and worked with Robin AI team more specifically in 2 of them:

Intent Campaigns
AI-Led Outbound Campaigns

To draft outbound campaigns, we used the SalesCaptain philosophy. We believe that good Outbound isn’t based on good AI personalization but on unique data, high-quality infrastructure and an offer that it's hard to say “No” to. AI then can act as an accelerator and an amplifier to a high-value offer/message.
In the next section you’ll find 3 of the 10 campaigns that we run for them, as well as the Clay table and AI personalization we layered in to amplify the message.
Subject line: recent acquisitions
Hi {{firstname}},
Given your recent acquisitions of {{Company A}} & {{Company B}} I’m sure your team is under a lot of pressure with legal workload.
We’ve helped legal teams in {{Relevant_Client A}}, {{Relevant_Client B}}, {{Relevant_Client C}} reduce legal workload during acquisitions by allowing their team to review faster legal contracts using AI, without changing how lawyers & paralegals actually work.
Thought it might be useful to give you free access so your team can test it on a few real documents from the acquisitions.
Open to saving some time?
Best,

P.S. The platform is built with enterprise-grade security (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and keeps your data private by design.

Subject line: Sharepoint for {{PracticeArea}}
Hi {{FirstName}},
For {{PracticeArea}} teams, we often see SharePoint used as a document repository, but not as a practical way to search or review agreements under time pressure.
We work with firms like {{top_in_practice}} to keep SharePoint, but add an AI layer that lets lawyers search clauses across matters, review contracts faster & respond to client questions without manual digging.
Happy to give you access to test this on a few {{PracticeArea}} documents if useful.
Best,
{{Signature}}
Subject line: open roles
Hi {{FirstName}},
With the number of open roles you hire for, I’m sure your {{personalization based on size}} are spending lots of time going back and forth on employee contract reviews.
We’ve worked with agencies like {{Relevant_Client A}}, {{Relevant_Client B}}, {{Relevant_Client C}} to help them fast-track their hiring process by automating contract creation and contract review using AI. You build a template and then we auto-adjust this based on role and title.
Happy to give you access to test this for your current open roles.
Best,

Lost Deals Resurrection
We identified lost deals in their CRM, reviewed Gong recordings and based on those insights created personalized emails to win those deals back either by reaching out at the right time, or by mentioning new features that were released or by offering limited time offers.
